Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String

Baker's cord, baker's twine: whatever you call it, it would look cool tied up around the candy boxes I ordered! I don't know what was more exciting: finding this in the Sundance catalog, or finding something in the catalog, among the overpriced boho-wear and peace-signed everything, that was reasonably priced. Fifty-four yards of each color! And on nifty wooden spools. They also have narrow grosgrain and velvet ribbon similarly packaged.

Also, just this morning, Heather sent me an email with a link to this site, and they have baker's twine, too (among lots of spiffy packaging items)!

  1. I'm SUCH a sucker for the stripes! And I love the striped grosgrain ribbon also featured on the Sundance link. I never would've thought of Sundance for that. I went with plain white boxes and will be using ribbon to doll it up, but budget wise, my extravagant cookie plans might have to be tempered a bit unfortunately. A box is still coming your way though!

  2. You could wrap it with masking tape and I'd be happy!
I think that's part of the fun of the gift-giving process, though--finding ways to be creative without spending too much money. (And after cost of ingredients and postage is taken into account, there isn't much left!)
